Ar. Vishwas Kulkarni, Founder and Director of VK Group, is affectionately known within the organization as the “Golden Man” of VK Group - a reflection of his leadership, vision, and enduring contribution to the firm over the decades. Inspired by this identity, the intention was to create an abstract sculptural piece that would symbolically represent his character and legacy. The final piece was created as a commemorative object to mark VK Group’s 50-year milestone and honor Ar. Vishwas Kulkarni’s contribution to the firm. Through an abstract form, it captures the idea of the “Golden Man” while serving as a meaningful keepsake for this special occasion.
The piece takes the form of a miniature recreation of the VK Group office entrance, centered around an abstract sculptural representation of Ar. Vishwas Kulkarni seated on the entrance sofa - a familiar and recognizable setting within the office. Behind him, the VK Group branding and signature patterns form the backdrop, reflecting the identity and values of the organization. Finished in gold, the figure references his affectionate title as the “Golden Man” of VK Group. The composition brings together elements that are closely associated with both Ar. Kulkarni and VK Group, making it a fitting keepsake for this milestone occasion.
The sculpted figure and sofa were 3D printed to bring the concept into a tangible form, allowing the details of the piece to be carefully realized at a smaller scale. Once fabricated, the components were hand-finished in their respective colours, with the figure rendered in gold to reinforce the idea of the “Golden Man.” The combination of digital fabrication and manual finishing helped transform the concept into a refined commemorative object.
